I wanted to post this to let all the donors know that all funds will be used for eye care services, no admin costs involved. This is an important aspect of this particular fundraising, since so many times donors do not know how much of their donation is actually being used for their designated cause. An explanation from the uniteforsight.org website: "Our Leading Financial Model Unite For Sight maintains the highest standard for financial responsibility, and we focus on financial ethics, efficiency, and resource maximization. 100% of all donations go directly to providing eye care for patients living in extreme poverty, and 0% goes to any other purpose. Unite For Sight has other funding sources for the 0.9% administrative & general expenses. Our financial model far exceeds the efficiency of other nonprofits by a wide margin. Fundraising With No Expenses: While most nonprofit organizations "spend money to make money" on fundraising, Unite For Sight spends $0 per year on fundraising. Our fundraising efforts incur no monetary costs. We do not hold any fundraising events that require expenses, nor do we solicit donations through postal mail or print media. All donation receipts are sent to donors electronically utilizing our electronic commerce system."
